.hack//Roots batch

Now I can finally wrap this up.

Here's a list of changes compared to the older releases:

  • Most of the subtitle errors(grammatical, spelling, translation) that I'm aware of are fixed.
  • Re-encoded 1280x720 video, so the file sizes are smaller and consistent, without noticable quality loss(something like what you see in my Sumomomo HQ releases).
  • The A/V sync problem in the 1280x720 releases is fixed(most noticable in episode 1).
Now I can just imagine the horror afterwards... seeding a total of 11GB on my 80kb/s upstream... I wonder how long it's gonna take... Yell

Enjoy Cool

EDIT: I forgot to mention, I deleted much of the older torrents, you can use the batch torrents to download individual files(you would need an advanced BitTorrent client, such as azureus).

Thanks Lu!

Please check the 1280x720torrent as it opens on the browser and shows all the torrent content code because somebody could think that is broken.

I had to right click and select "Save Link as"

Both the LQ and HQ torrent seem to have the link broken for me also. Rightclicking and Save as seems to work.

oops... thanks for letting me know. it should be alright now.

I wonder what happened... Embarassed

So... is this a brand new encoding for the HQ? I noticed that the hashes are different... after I've just gone and nearly completed the former torrent for the HQ 1280x720 x264 files.

In addition the LQ. I've been seeding most of these "old?" files... should I grab the new ones to support the torrent, too? I'm confused.

@Shin Amakiir: the HQ is 6.25GB, the LQ is 4.7GB, so that's a total of 11GB. Smile

Lu.. thank you so much for doing and then batching this series in LQ.. I like the series, but if I liked it enough to snag HQ I'd wait for the DVDs.

I DL'd some of the LQ files but are re-grabbing the batch as the ones I -had- [from that 'other' fansub group] were trashed.

Please, everyone, seed! 80kps/up is not that much...

Do these files have ambedded fonts? Just thought I'd ask, 'cause embedded fonts are cool as far as I'm concerned Tongue out

Submitted by luperry on November 2, 2006 - 01:14.

@Anonymous: no, they don't. I forgot which font I used, but it's one that probably 99% of the computers have, so embedding the font was unnecessary.

Does anyone know why the last three episodes (the xvid, 704x396 ones) don't work as they supposed to be, there are errors on the frames. I had downloaded last three eps over and over but whenever I'm done with download the files are always bugged like that.

Why does the video freeze from time to time, but the audio keep going?  I can't tell if it's my comptuer, or if it's the fault of the video...anyone else having this problem?  Is there a way to fix it, and if so what is it?  If you have an answer, could you please email me at jobs248@gmail.com  Thanks!

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on December 5, 2006 - 03:55.

If you are experiencing this problem with the 1280x720 x264 encodes, then your computer is not fast enough to keep up with decoding the 720p resolution.

On the offchance that it's just an old and perhaps inefficient codec version though, I'd try upgrading your x264 codec before downloading the lower res (704xsomething I think) versions.

My old Athlon64 3400+ system with a gig of corsair and GeForceFX6800Ultra was not able to playback 1280x720 x264 encodes without having this performance issue, so if your system is worse than that it is likely that you need a faster cpu for the HD x264 playback.

hope it helps
