Gundam SEED C.E.73 STARGAZER - stage 2

We finally get to see some Gundam in this episode. Most notably GSX-401FW Stargazer, a mobile suit built for space exploration rather than combat. Easily the most elegant mobile suit in this show. What makes it even cooler is that it is controlled by an A.I. unit(an unmanned Gundam)!

This episode also reveals the past of Sven Cal Bayang, a member of the Phantom Pain(I think he's also the main character).

SPOILER WARNING

Being the child of a scientist, Sven dreamed of becoming an astronomer. But in an incident, both of his parents were killed, and Sven was handed over to the government, who brainwashed him and raised him to become the perfect killing machine.

Now as a member of the Phantom Pain, he can massacre unarmed coordinator refugees in cold blood without a blink of the eye. Even when his fellow Phantom Pain comrade, Mudie Holcroft, was killed in action, he showed little remorse(though his desperation before her death was apparent).

Continuing from the last episode, Selene successfully went into space, where she joined up with other DSSD researchers to find new ways of space exploration. GSX-401FW, armed with a new interplanetary pulpulsion system, was its creation. During its test launch, Sol Ryuune L'ange gave it a new name, Stargazer.

I'm assuming that you don't speak japanese so to answer your question: nowhere

No one is currently subbing it most likely because its only being streamed on the official  site
I'm sure if you dug around enough you could find a translation of the script

but if you just want to watch it go here

The Mendoi sub release came out pretty well last time. Best to just see whether they sub it again. [ http://www.mininova.org/search/?search=stargazer ]

I am looking foward to someone fansubbing this. The Strike Noir looks awsome but you can't beat a Gundam with an autopilot

There is a fansub of it out now. So the stargazer is not completely automatic and the pupulsion system is a solar sail made of beams instead of metal

The episode seemed pretty decent though I was a little suprised to see Azrael in there.  It also seems that this episode hapened around (36?).  At this point it goes without question that the director isn't afraid to kill off name characters. Still kind of wondering about the signifigance of Stargazer(or 401) in the whole seed universe.

The Stargazer needs to learn from a pilot first and study from the pattern of piloting skills. Stargazer would be important possibly because of its AI system. If Fukada starts a Mobile Doll thing in Gundam SEED, the AI would be an important bridge, but that's not likely. The Voltere Lumiere is a solar powered backpack that gives it speed unimaginable. Think of the AI of 401 to be a baby, only a smart baby that learns at a way faster pace compared to even a prodigy. It has to learn somewhere, you can't program in behaviors and skills, you need a basis for it to develope from, and that's what the optional cockpit is for.
