I found the fix, it had to do with adjusting some advanced Subtitle settings in VLC, which made the subs an acceptable size hehe

Word to the wise, don't try and change "Font size in Pixels" and "Relative Font Size" at the same time, or set "Font size in Pixels" to a negative number lol Almost crashed my machine...

Lu, you've done it again!

Just finished downloading the 880x496 version of your sub, and it looks awesome. First thing I did was skip to the action scenes, and no more pixelation, like the other encodes out there!

One question tho... the second sub stream appears more readable for me at 1024x768, but for some reason, it looks HUGE in VLC... is there any way that anyone knows of to make this a little smaller on screen? Any options in either VLC or in DirectVobSub that could allow me to display them slightly smaller?

Just got my copy of .hack//G.U. TRILOGY(blu-ray version)

Looks all fancy and nice.

I'll decide whether to sub this after I finish watching it. Then again... I probably need to find a way to rip blu-ray first...

UPDATE: Just finished watching the movie. It's quite good, but it felt brief and disconnected(you'll probably feel the same if you've played the game)...

They did a great job trying to squeeze 60-100 hours of game content into a 2 hours movie. They could've tried to make it into a three parts movie(a.k.a. a TRILOGY), but I doubt it would help that much in this case(60 hours vs 6 hours isn't that much better than 60 hours vs 2 hours).

Story-wise, the primary focuse in this movie is the emotional development between Haseo and Atoli, Ovan is a big focus too. Some story lines from the game were altered, especially the parts on how Haseo got each of his "forms". Some characters like Endrance and Sakubo didn't even make an appearance(can't blame them for that)...

The CG was absolutely beautiful, they didn't reuse any cut-scene from the game at all. Everything is new, and better than ever. But I guess a major contributing factor is the fact that I'm watching this in 1080i... while the original PS2 games play in 480i...

I guess I'll try to squeeze some time to sub this. After I resolve some technical difficulties...
