hmmm I agree with Sakota on this, what we see isnt an elastic of some kind but the armor's thickness ._. Beside if you look on colored pages of the mangas you'll see it's gold. Thanks for the bad mental images tho :D

WellI was reading the translated manga..and then I kinda noticed something weird on Haseo..
