dot hack

Let the horror begin! (for me, anyways)

And it is done!

And no, I didn't do the karaoke, I hate doing it. Embarassed

Enjoy the rest!

.hack//G.U. TRILOGY

Just got my copy of .hack//G.U. TRILOGY(blu-ray version) Cool

Looks all fancy and nice.

I'll decide whether to sub this after I finish watching it. Laughing Then again... I probably need to find a way to rip blu-ray first...

UPDATE: Just finished watching the movie. It's quite good, but it felt brief and disconnected(you'll probably feel the same if you've played the game)...

They did a great job trying to squeeze 60-100 hours of game content into a 2 hours movie. They could've tried to make it into a three parts movie(a.k.a. a TRILOGY), but I doubt it would help that much in this case(60 hours vs 6 hours isn't that much better than 60 hours vs 2 hours).

Story-wise, the primary focuse in this movie is the emotional development between Haseo and Atoli, Ovan is a big focus too. Some story lines from the game were altered, especially the parts on how Haseo got each of his "forms". Some characters like Endrance and Sakubo didn't even make an appearance(can't blame them for that)...

The CG was absolutely beautiful, they didn't reuse any cut-scene from the game at all. Everything is new, and better than ever. But I guess a major contributing factor is the fact that I'm watching this in 1080i... while the original PS2 games play in 480i...

I guess I'll try to squeeze some time to sub this. After I resolve some technical difficulties... Laughing

.hack//G.U. - Returner

Long time no see. Embarassed

Well, I was busy with my life for a while, then I got addicted to hacking and slashing through Persona3 Fes for the past three days(and I'm far from done).

Here is the dot hack stuff I mentioned, .hack//G.U. Returner. It's to the .hack//G.U. series like .hack//GIFT was to the original .hack games(you get it in Japan if you purchased all three games). But unlike .hack//GIFT, which was purely for fun, Returner ends the .hack//G.U. series in a mind opening way.

I ripped this one off DVD myself, hope I didn't do anything wrong. I'm only realeasing a XviD version this time, encoding it in x264 seems like an overkill.

Enjoy! Laughing

Oh, yes. DON'T WATCH THIS IF YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED THROUGH .HACK//G.U. YET, MAJOR SPOILER AHEAD! Unless of course, you don't mind spoilers or if you are not planing to play .hack//G.U. at all. Wink
XviD Torrent

P.S. Yes, I remember that I still have two Sumo^6 batches to put up, I'll get it done in about two days.

.hack//G.U.

I'm on my spring break(we call it reading week here, just so that they can make us feel guilty about the whole thing). This is my first and last spring break... It's my first cuz our university had a tradition that math/engineering students don't get any spring breaks(and the tradition was broken last November), it's my last cuz I'm graduating this term...

And what's a better time to do some hack GUing. I just finished it yesterday... Without spoiling you anything, I'll just say it's god damn good. Cool Maybe I should play it again sometime...

My only complaint is that it felt really short... it took me about 30 hours to finish the main plot of Vol 3. One of my greatest achievements is that I was able to make Azure Kite say something other than "......" Laughing

The attached song is the ending theme of Volume 3. And here are the lyrics. It sure is a beautiful song(must've been tough to come up with three good ending theme songs for all three volumes)... The picture is the wallpaper I'm using on my Altimit OS desktop, thought it fits the song really well. Laughing

.hack//Roots batch

Now I can finally wrap this up.

Here's a list of changes compared to the older releases:

  • Most of the subtitle errors(grammatical, spelling, translation) that I'm aware of are fixed.
  • Re-encoded 1280x720 video, so the file sizes are smaller and consistent, without noticable quality loss(something like what you see in my Sumomomo HQ releases).
  • The A/V sync problem in the 1280x720 releases is fixed(most noticable in episode 1).
Now I can just imagine the horror afterwards... seeding a total of 11GB on my 80kb/s upstream... I wonder how long it's gonna take... Yell

Enjoy Cool

EDIT: I forgot to mention, I deleted much of the older torrents, you can use the batch torrents to download individual files(you would need an advanced BitTorrent client, such as azureus).
