then again, I wouldn't think twice to just play the Japanese versaion instead of the English version. Unless they include the Japanese dialogues like they did with the first .hack game.

hmm didnt sound too miserable..  you have to realize that it's bloody impossible to get the same quality and quantity of voice actors in the american market. So even though i'm going to have to hold my sides everytime yuri screams rengeKI! I think it wont be too huge a loss to play the game in english this time around.
... Listening just to the english cut scenes of the previous 4 games in an effort to catch up on what i missed proved to me, that for an english cast, they weren't bad. ok kite,elk, and mia, ok orca too sounded pretty crappy at times. (how the hell does a 7th grader have such a deep voice -_-;?)
I guess i'm guilty as charged of just being over zealous for the japanese voices.

If you're more commenting on the writing.. bah.. i dare you to translate all of it... and then translate the culture behind it :P! I'm convinced that i never want to be a translator.. more insanity than i can stand.. i'll stick to software engineering thank you.

I don't mind the voices, Haseo sorta twitched me a few times there, but not alot, Bordeaux just shows you're gonna hate her...alot

But what troubles me are indeed the dialouge in the game, it's almost as if they Literally translated everything in the game

Azure Flame gets turned to Blue Fire
I'm amazed Tri-Edge is not Triple Edge or something, but then again he's a name, not a thing.

I'm just worried about some of the later stuff, as well as the e-mail grammars as the official english site shows.  Which leads me to fear they may have "Rushed" the translating a bit in order to get to the english on time. I will still get this game's US version to understand the story better, I'm just worried on some things.  At least they'll keep the phase names correct..I hope.

I think everyone had alot of low expectations but overall i'm greatly pleased
People keep saying that atoli's voice is too perky but i think it fits quite well with her character
Pai's fits fine
I actually really liked Bordeaux but we'll have to see how she does all the crazy scenes
Yuri's haseo.....well i don't like him sounding like Sasuke but i might grow to like him(this one is the on i hate most)
I almost pissed myself when i saw that Crispin Freeman was doing Sakaki.....man now i really wish he got more screen time in the first game

But the the thing that pissed me off the most was the pronounciation of haseowhy the hell would they change that its not even hard to pronounce in english
damn we're gonna have to deal with that for 2 more games too TT_TT

I'm going to stick with the Japanese myself, but that's mainly because I'm a massive Takahiro Sakurai fan. (I'm still very upset over this: http://community.livejournal.com/seiyuu/1027664.html  How they are going to voice vol.3, I have no idea)

Still, Yuri's a pretty good VA, and my assistant is a big Naruto fan, so hooking her on G.U. just got easier for me. XD (I think I've gotten her interested already, but this helps hugely)

I did not notice that they changed haseo's pronounceation.....so I went back to the fight scene and repeated it over and over nd it does sound a little different. I dont know if that's just how that guy pronounces it or if they really made him H-uh-seo.

....sends chills down my spine. I'm gonna have trouble sleeping tonight I know, cuz I will be waiting now to see how they say his darn name...will the torment ever cease?

@b4k4ni04: in the origional sign series, they said the world had a voice changer...thats why sora didnt sound like a grade 4

@Chaos: Last I've seen, the disciplinary period is three months where Sakurai can't work on anything at all.  After that, it's up to the individual companies whether or not he can finish whatever projects he's working on.  (For instance, for Black Blood Brothers, Sakurai may be replaced outright, though he was only a substitute in the first place)

xD It is funy. you know what? I am sorry to say this... But I HATE Atoli's english voice... and the way then say Ovan.. -.- GRRRRR... Well i guess i will have to live with it xD I like the game.. I just don't like some of the.. voices they have :-\

well at least they don't pronounce it as 'Oh-Van'. It's still the proper pronounciation... just no Japanese accent :x

yeah atoli needs work D:. i've played up to.. "kono (hareboto)?? sekai ni, DOKO GA KIREI DA TO IUN DA YO!~~~" ^^.. it was fun reverse translating that. ok time to go play until my eyes fall out ^^; ... .. .
oh and </3 endrance.. his voice needs to be more androgynous. but <3 ovan, kuhn works. pai works. i wish her voice was higher. ...atoli's voice needs depth. it's too high and squeaky you can't act with something so flat.
yata.... where's james earl jones when you need him :P. okok so that's impossible.. yeah he's not bad, but hearing so much of his speech got old
