Well it's not known yet known if Thats 'Kite' or so to say the person who controled the Kite pc during the first 4 games
Though the his katakana for his name reads 'kite' It's probably like in the first game where when you faced Tri-Edge he would have the name would be the same as what you named him in the first 4 games
So if I named him うんこ in the infection-quarantine games than his name would be うんこ in the G.U. games

it does say Kite on the poster, however.

hmm... interesting. though I'm not sure why it's distinguising "Kite of Azure Flame" from "main character of the last .hack game".

EDIT: never mind, "Kite of Azure Flame" seems to be Tri-Edge, one of the "Three Azure Knights". It's mentioned right above the Haseo and Kite picture...

I think its because at some point in the second game (I'm pretty sure it was the begging) Yata makes a huge revelation to Haseo about cc corp and the twilight incident this is where haseo finds out Tri-Edge was moddeled after Kite so I think they pretty much scrapped the name Triedge

Maybe its a special for beating the game, you get tri-edge...And it isnt that kite is using tri-edges character model, its that hes using the model tri-edge stole from him. Its probably kite, brcause, notice that his blades are part of his character model, and in the world R:2 the characters dont carry their weapons...Why does it look like Haseo killed Ovan and stole his character data?

But it looks like "Azure Kite" (the same mysterious entity that fought Phyllo and Ovan) is going to be a selectable party member.

I'll admit that I like Haseo's Flicker form the least of all his forms, so I'm glad to see that's not his last one.  And better yet, that new form looks mighty sweet.

   that most definately is Kite of the Azure Flame from G.U. not the original series, because he arrives at Grima Lowe Cathedral with Orca and Balmung the same way he does in every other game, and in Volume 2 you'l understand that the Azure Knights aren't at all evil, when they attempt to go help Haseo kill Sakaki, until Ovan appears and blows all three of them away, and thats because Ovan wants Haseo to become stronger on his own so he can defeat him(Haseo defeating Ovan)........

   Some of these are conclusions i came up with all alone, and others are from various resourses such as .Hack//G.U. vol.2//Kimi Omou Koe

Although it is definitely possible Haseo could become an AIDA-PC with Aura- she is still in The World R:2.

possible...........but I think the whole point of G.U. is the rebirth of an ultimate A.I., whether it be aura or morganna, via ovan...................and that haseo, as the "terror of death".......or as death itself, to bring death to any chances of morganna being revived, or something like that...............maybe he's torn? who knoes............

hmm.... Well... I donl;t know about this, but it would be pretty cool if instead of skeith, hasseo awakens Cubia xD

that definately will not happen, because hes allied to Kite now, and he contains the phase Skeith the Terror of Death not Cubia The twilight Dusk

@survient: ...Ovan does seem to be obsessed with the key of the twilight, which is Aura, so maybe the purpose of his arm is to be a black box, and function the same way as the eight phases where supposed to, to collect daa on human emotions and to gather the damaged peices of Aura (the game was almost destroyed by a fire, so it makes sence that Aura was damaged)

@Lek of the Azure Shadow: no Aura left for unkown resons which led to the originaal infinity 8 but the leader was power mad and wanted to become the ultimate A.I. but something went wrong sending all 8 into comas and seting ablaze most of the stuff linked to the Data

Actually, technically, Azure Flame Kite IS tri-edge, because people call HIM tri-edge due to the fact that he has those bllades... But at the same time, Ovan is Tri-edge because he is the one roaming around and making signs. I know it's a little confusing and weird, but ye....

There is no mistaking it, Tri-Edge is Kite of the Azure Flame.  During the battle, his title clipping that shows his health even says Kite.
Also, How do you unlock Hasuro of Twilight?
And, When does Kite (Tri-Edge) join your team? In Dot.Hack//G.U Rebirth, or in Dot.Hack//G.U. 2?

you get Kite at the end of volume 3.

Hasuro of Twilight is the X form of Haseo, He has the guns with the twin blades inside of them.
