by neglected you mean is good but nobody plays it? or just neglected as in, nobody wants it? coz if that is the case.. the most neglected game would be chessmaster. wtf would buy that? (i did, bad aproach for gaming gafics)

I think he means undernoticed/underplayed games considering feel the magic is a pretty good game and so is the Contra series(except for that one that thought that having all the dialogue in morse code was a good idea)

Some of my favorite 'neglected' games are

"Ico" - from the makers of Shadow of the Colossus is its spiritual predecessor Ico which has its beautiful scenery and eerie solidarity

"Grim Fandango" - A delightful point and click adventure from the maker of "Psyconauts" (could be considered another neglected game) with a fresh take on fantasy and good amount of puns and inside jokes

"The Longest Journey" - Another point and click adventure with such a long, intricate and fasinating story that .... I'm still trying to finishing it

Yes, I agree with Ico.  Absolutely beautiful game. Only let down is that it is quite short.  (Technically Shadow of the Colossus is the prequal to Ico, timeline-wise)

Hmm... System Shock 1/2? Great games, perhaps somewhat let down by their graphics at the time of release (although some kind modders have produced higher quality skins and models for much of System Shock 2)

Xenogears perhaps? I don't think it was even released in my country. I'ld say it is better than any of the PS1 Final Fantasys though.

My favourite neglected game would have to be Pokemon Puzzle on N64. its a very unique way of a puzzle game which i enjoyed alot when i was a kid, and came back to it now here 8 years later or something. (believe me i was bored xD)
