I admit, all I know about anime is from having watched Vampire Hunter D and (a lot of) Lupin III in college.
But. Les Miserables is my favorite novel, and of course that means I follow movie/TV adaptaions of it, so I've been trying since Shoujo Cosette began airing in Japan to find a fansub group -- I've learned some terminology in my internet searches -- and had no luck. I found luperry.com through a Google search and read the blog entry about the show. Anyway, the three (four counting a joint effort) groups that have tried to pick it up seem to have stalled out or quit outright, leaving only episodes 1-6 subbed. Which is a shame because the story in the novel is great, and the anime looked like it had a chance to be done well. I'm sure, with 52 episodes, Cosette is a longer-than-long shot, and I have no real hope/expectations, but it would be loverly if the show were subtitled!
