i try to play the files with media player classic, the result is that my video gets skipped a couple of times and the audio is because of the frame dropping out of sync..
when i use VLC it works BUT:
1 the subtitles are really ugly and sometimes fill up the entire screen
2 VLC crashes atleast once every episode...

system:
AMD athlon 1,92Ghz
1.25GB ram
Geforce 6800 128MB

ow and before you crack down my system: C&C3 movies (wich are also HD movies) play fine.)
also other h.264 encodec serie's play perfect, only serie till i'm having a lot of problems with is Sumomo Momomo..

any idea how i can solve the problems without switchting to other hardware or downloading the LQ version?

edit:
as an extra note:
i also tryed switching from kazaa lite codec pack to CCCP, but also without result

Select subtitle stream 2 in VLC menu to get smaler subtitles.
And check that you have latest VLC version.

you happen to have overclocked your ram frequency or timings? if so, try with normal voltage, frequency (mhz) and timings (CAS tRAS tRP etcpp)
If your board  works  synchronous only, just try it with a lowered FSB, if that didn't work, reinstalling codecs/video drivers (up to windows) fddshow (you probably have that if you'veg ot mpc) another thing to try out is "KoolPlaya"
it pretty much uses windows media player, but it enhances it in a very nice way and turns crap into gold :)

download the combined community codecs pack then use the zoom player it has installed on your program files to play sumomo

I had the same problem as you did, before I uppgraded..
I had a AMD Sempron 3000+ (2.0 GHz), Every 720p movie lagged, and got frame drops..
You will get a BIG pluss if your GFX card has inbuild h.264 codec support.. (mine does ^^)

Now I am running an Dual-Core AMD Athlon 64, 4600+ (2.4 GHz)

You acctually need a 2.3-2.4 GHz prosessor.. 720p requires about that.. Or else you
will get that problem..

I am deaply sorry.. but your computer is slightly not good enough...
To play 1080p, you will need a 3.0 Ghz +++ Prosessor..

Your RAM, or/and your GFX card has nothing to do with it..

But minimum Recomended Resolution:
1280 x 720(16:9 i think)
1280 x 800(16:10)
1280 x 960(5:4)
1280 x 1024(4:3)
and up.

I am running 1680x1050(16:10)

Hey guys, Im having a similar problem:
Running Sumo^6 in VLC, and I see no subs! QQ
I dont have the CCCP, because im using a mac (my PC sucks, dont ask).
Anyone else using a mac and found mac-style CCCP? (or can I download the CCCP for windows and open the files elsewhere?)
EDIT: btw I really dont know how to use VLC, aside from opening a video and playing it...
(so if theres a way to tell it to find subs on a file, please let me know)
