Anyone else read it? I have to say I liked it much more than the related anime series. And of course, there is that single page at the end of each one hinting at Roots/GU. :) |

The Japanese title is .hack//Tasogare no Udewa Densetsu. So technically, it is .hack//Legend of the Twilight Bracelet. The literal translation would be "Twilight's Bracelet Legend." I guess Bandai thought the "Bracelet" portion wouldn't appeal to American viewers/readers and left it out of the title. The Twilight Bracelet, obviously, is the powerful system-modifying bracelet Aura gave to both Kite and Shugo. In .hack//Roots, the bracelet is referred to as possibly being the Key of the Twilight...
Anyway, you can't really compare the manga to the anime, since their stories are so very different. I like the manga's story and especially the artwork, while the anime has its own, different appeal.

Oo; I never noticed that G.U. page at the end of the books. Well I must say G.U. wasnt out when i started reading those, so i never made the connection >.<; It kinda ticked me off at first back then because i was wondering what the heck was going on, then i just forgot about it. Thanks! lol *feels stupid now*
