Spotted this on this week's Famitsu, what appears to be a new .hack game (named .hack//Link) that takes place 3 years after "The World R:2".
It will be released for the PSP, and the release date is unknown at this point, apparently.

@Anonymous: probably nothing you don't already know. it just talks about what .hack is, and there is an interview with the director saying this is a game for everyone to enjoy and such... the big text on the left says this may be the game that concludes the series.

Why Ovan's arm is still locked is a mystery to me.
some of the characters are pretty random - I wonder how Kite will react to his Sewn up version of himself.

@Anonymous: That's because the plot of this anime, is that some guys are playing with the time of the world to get something, and the main characters of the previous .hack// are the ones that arry with them the (time spore?) , and because they take it away form those main characters, then their existance ceases both in the past of the world and in the present, so whatever actions they have done gets erased. thus some charcters reverse to their old selfs.

@luperry: oh god no i cant have that happen, with the .hack// saga is rich with material, i love the books, the manga, the anime, the music, oh god the music rules. it would be a shame to end it, because this series has the power to be ledgendary, and spark ideas and imagination in a new generation.
by the way have anybody noticed the 3d gogles from the anime/games remind you of vertuial boy from nintendo.
