Canon EOS Kiss X2
My Canon point-and-shoot served me well for the past year, but recently, I found that my cellphone camera is almost on par(not even close) in the image quality department, while not being such a pain to carry.
So, for the purpose of taking good indoor shots, I went out and bought myself a dSLR, the Canon EOS Kiss X2 (a.k.a. 450D or Rebel XSi), for kicks(as in, for serious image taking), and re-tiring the point-and-shoot to a sidearm status.
My first impression with the dSLR: "god damn heavy", my second impression: "my god, I didn't know you could do that with a camera".

can't really tell which one is better quality at this resolution. lol
as blurry as the figurine in the bck gets (well can't blame it. it's notthe focus of the picture) That carton of... tea?? Looks VERY nice :D That's some GOOD camera there :D I can almost read whatever is on the side!

Id say the only reason why its blurry is that its probaly built for further away shots. eg.g birds or something. Nice cam though Lu.
Nice camera, Lu! Hopefully within the next 2-3 years I'll be able to read whatever the hell is on the carton between college and independant studies (My school requires 2+ semesters of spoken teaching with some Hiragana before the even touch Kanji).
More to the point, could you take a couple of comparison shots with your three cameras (phone, old, and new)? Maybe take one close range similar to the carton and one of a farther away stationary target (billboard/building with a lot of color).

pretty interesting. the phone looks borrible, whole both cameras, look good, the older camera, does have less quality in the image.
